Good Afternoon Mary-
Learners receive 11 hours of completion for the NRP 7th Edition exam and eSim cases. The AAP does not grant continuing education credit for the instructor-led, in-person portion of the course. There are several reasons for this. The organization jointly sponsoring the activity must be involved in all stages of planning. With more than 24,000 NRP instructors conducting courses throughout the world, it would be impossible for the AAP to meet this requirement. In addition, the number of actual hours spent in the course can vary significantly, depending on the format used by the course directors. Consequently, the instructors seeking joint sponsorship of their NRP courses must work with accredited organizations closer to home, such as the continuing education department of a hospital, medical school, nursing school, or state medical or nursing organization.
