One thing we do....We have a fair number of administrators (mostly - associate view only). Since Administrators are not made inactive like students, once a month I review the current list of administrators against our current employees and delete those administrators who are no longer employees of the Hospital system.
If you have multiple instructors that grade their own classes it can be helpful to run a class grading status report occasionally. It keeps students from calling to get a class they attended off their page.
